Guide Spotlight : Dragon Park

At Arcade, we’re so lucky to be located just one block away from Fannie Mae Dee’s, also lovingly known as “Dragon Park”. Lots of our customers stop by the store coming and going from the park. We recently met up at this iconic Nashville playscape for some after school fun.

For two years Fannie Mae Dee’s dragon was under construction for damage repair. Happily, our friendly beast was restored to its former glory and reopened last May. We welcomed it back to the neighborhood in 2018 with a paper dragon parade through Hillsboro Village. Part of the revamp was a new rubber mat with a little bounce for new walkers and little runners.

There’s so much fun to find in the mosaic. Homages to the city of Nashville, favorite movies, and even the dragon itself can be found in the tiles. Next time you’re in our neighborhood, we hope you’ll take your little ones to climb on the dragon before you wander through Arcade.
